Corporate Ground and Winter Operations Trainer

Working collaboratively across the organization and with our airline partners, the Corporate Ground and Winter Operations Trainer will continue to evolve and lead ground operations training programs that drive service excellence, operational efficiency, continuous improvement, and safety above all. Roles and Responsibilities
- Deliver Ground Operations training virtually to network teams
- Deliver EA TTT virtually or in person as required
- Ensure Ground Operations training is kept up to date including the most current carrier and regulatory requirements
- Maintain a network training schedule for all new hire classes that aligns with year-round seasonal schedule changes and seasonal service partners
- Work with airline representatives to improve the effectiveness of all training and reduce redundancies between EA and airline programs
- Manage Winter Operations training including seasonal preparation, program updates and improvements and scheduling and delivery of training to network teams
- Hold monthly calls with base trainers to share program updates, promote best practices and monitor training records and 90-day plans
- Update training management program (Vortex) templates with any airline changes
- Review monthly network airline and internal training matrix to ensure compliance
- Assist in creating corrective action plans and new best practices to continually improve our Ground Operations efficiency and safety
- Work with Head of Safety and Quality to create audit schedules for Ground Operations compliance for all airlines
- Regularly liaise with the Corporate Customer Service Trainers to drive synergy between our above and below wing teams in the delivery of overall service excellence
- Continually evaluate Ground Operations training needs to ensure safe and efficient operations is maintained in a consistent manner at all locations
- Develop and evolve Ground Operations training programs and curriculums to ensure operational requirements and regulatory compliance are met
- Develop various methods to solicit feedback from our Team Members to identify training needs
- Make recommendations when additional tools, resources and training may be required to improve or enhance operations
- Perform audits to ensure compliance with regulations and standard operating procedures
- Actively participate in the company Safety Management System (SMS) including investigations and development and implementation of corrective action plans
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to lead and exchange ideas and information
- Travel to bases will be required frequently
Qualifications:
- Three or more years of experience in a Ground Operations role required
- Significant experience in virtual, in-class, and on-the-job training
- Demonstrated ability to lead by example by creating a positive learning and working environment
- Proven interpersonal skills in dealing with both external and internal customers
- Strong level of proficiency in Microsoft office including PowerPoint
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- A high degree of self-motivation and commitment to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Strong ability to motivate team members to learn and apply skills
- Experience in mentor/trainer role considered an asset
- Must have and maintain a RAIC and a driver’s license
- Must possess excellent time management skills with the ability to adjust schedules to match our fast-paced environment
- Must have the ability and willingness to travel for extended periods, often on short notice
